Leah Halliday has been making and sewing bits and bobs as long as she can remember. With a lifelong love of crafts and an artistic flair Leah headed to Cumbria College of Art & Design after leaving school and later to study at Glasgow Caledonian University to undertake a degree in Fashion with Business. She then studied for a postgraduate in Fashion Marketing & Promotion. Working as a freelance designer as she continued her studies she then moved south to become a fashion lecturer in Oxford. Missing home she moved back to Scotland and set up a business designing vintage inspired bespoke bridalwear.
Leah was thrilled to announce the launch of her new venture, So Sew Pretty. Seamstress extraordinaire, Leah Halliday passes on her skills as both a designer and crafter. From cushions to frocks, bags to bunting, there are loads of pretty things to make and take home at the end of a So Sew Pretty workshop. You’ll learn heaps of new skills, meet like minded folks & find out how fun and rewarding it can be to make your own. Leah is also a part time lecturer on the Fashion Business degree course at GCU.
We're delighted to host our classes in our wonderful inspirational & sociable workshop at 67 Terregles Street, Dumfries, DG2 9BD. We host creative and sewing classes during the week and weekend for both children and adults.
We are thrilled to now host sewing classes in Dumfries for children, teaching aged 9 years and upwards the wonderful life skill of sewing using a sewing machine. Our Sewing Club workshops take place after school and during the holidays.
